Our Mission
At V.O.I.C.E.S. Against Sexual Assault, our mission is to empower survivors on their journey from victim to survivor by providing compassionate, holistic support.
Through free therapy, life coaching, support groups, and transformative retreats, we create a safe space for healing, resilience, and renewal. Our programs serve women, men, and children affected by sexual violence, bridging the critical gap in aftercare services.
Committed to advocacy, education, and community partnerships, we stand as a beacon of hope—ensuring every survivor has the resources and support to reclaim their voice and rebuild their future.

Executive Director, President, and Founding Board Member
Christy Hinnant is an 8-year US Army Veteran, rape survivor, activist, advocate and 2x Mrs. Universal (2019/2020). In 2005, she was sexually assaulted by a stranger at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Through the years she struggled with the aftermath of the assault; the PTSD, the shame, feeling alone, and not knowing what was next. She struggled with ineffective counselors and the justice’s system not doing their job. Although there are certain resources available to sexual assault victims after an assault there isn’t a place for them to go and heal. Christy’s passion to help others and create that healing safe space grew.
After the military, Christy graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with her bachelor's degree in Psychology and later obtained her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2019, V.O.I.C.E.S. Against Sexual Assault was born. Helping rape and sexual assault victims go through the healing process as they find their VOICE and become SURVIVORS.

Vision & Goals
V.O.I.C.E.S. Against Sexual Assault is committed to bridging the critical gap in aftercare services for survivors of sexual violence. Our vision is to ensure every survivor has access to sustained, trauma-informed support, empowering them to heal, rebuild, and reclaim their lives. Through free therapy, life coaching, support groups, and healing retreats, we provide a structured path from victimhood to survivorship.
We currently serve survivors in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties, offering holistic, long-term healing programs. By integrating evidence-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and community support, we are transforming the way survivors access care, ensuring no one has to heal alone.
Victim
After experiencing sexual violence, an individual becomes a victim of the crime. This is not a reflection of who they are but of what has happened to them.
V
Reach Out
Healing begins when you take the first step to reach out—whether to a friend, a counselor, or a trusted support system. You decide when and how to share your experience.
O
Invest in Yourself
Your healing is personal. Investing in yourself may mean seeking therapy, practicing mindfulness, engaging in movement like yoga, attending a support group, or reclaiming your passions.
I
Gain Control
Through self-care, therapy, and empowerment, you regain control of your life. What was once taken from you is now yours to own.
C
Empower Others
With resilience comes strength, and with strength comes the ability to uplift others. As you heal, you inspire and empower others to begin their own journey.
E
Survivor
You are more than what happened to you—you are a survivor. You have found your voice, reclaimed your power, and are living proof that healing is possible. "There is POWER in your story."
